Our initial pet aftercare markets

Pet Aftercare Finder is starting with five states and 25 metro markets, and provider verification is currently underway in them. We add markets only when there is both real local search demand and a verifiable provider base — never by generating pages for cities we know nothing about.

Texas

Texas is a large, decentralised aftercare market: most metro areas are served by a mix of independent pet crematories, veterinary-partnered cremation services and mobile pickup operators. Because driving distances between metros are long, pickup radius and same-day capability matter more here than in compact states, and prices are usually quoted by pet weight band.

Florida

Florida's pet aftercare market is shaped by a high share of senior pet owners, dense coastal cities and a strong presence of independent crematories offering witnessed or private cremation. Aquamation (alkaline hydrolysis) is more visible in Florida than in most Southern states, though availability is still market-by-market rather than statewide.

North Carolina

North Carolina's aftercare market is clustered around the Triangle, the Triad and Charlotte, with independent crematories often serving several cities from one facility. Because the state's metros sit close together, pickup radii overlap and families frequently have options based in a neighbouring city.

Tennessee

Tennessee's four large metros are spread across the state, so each functions as a mostly separate aftercare market with its own provider set. Nashville and Memphis have the deepest option pools, while Knoxville, Chattanooga and Clarksville tend to be served by a small number of independent crematories plus veterinary partners.

Georgia

Outside metro Atlanta, Georgia's aftercare market is built around mid-sized regional cities that each serve a wide rural catchment. In these markets, one crematory frequently covers several counties, so pickup radius, route days and turnaround are the most meaningful differences between options.
