Pet Cremation Cost

Pet cremation is priced locally, so a national average is close to useless when you are making a decision today. What travels across markets is the structure of the price: disposition type, weight band, transport and memorial add-ons. We publish market ranges only where we hold enough verified provider records to calculate them.

We publish a price range for a market only when we hold enough verified provider prices, each linked to its source and check date. Where we don't, the market page says so rather than showing an estimate.

What drives the price

Disposition type
Communal is the lowest-cost option; private (individual) cremation costs more because the cycle is not shared.
Pet weight band
Nearly all providers publish or quote by weight band. This is usually the largest single variable.
Pickup
Home pickup, clinic pickup and drop-off are priced differently, and pickup may be zone or mileage based.
Timing
Same-day, after-hours and overnight service commonly carry a premium.
Urn and memorial items
A basic container may be included; upgraded urns, paw prints and clippings are usually add-ons.
Local market
The number of providers in your metro, and drive distances, affect competitive pricing.

Common questions

Why won't you show me a national average price?
Because it would not help you. Pricing varies by market and weight band, and a single national number would mislead more often than it informs.
How do you verify pricing?
Every published price is traceable to a provider source and a check date. See our methodology page for the full process.
Can I get a firm price without calling?
Where a provider publishes pricing, we show it with its verification date. Where they quote only on request, we say so rather than estimating.
