Your options
- A pet crematory or aftercare provider directly — the fastest route to a private cremation with ashes returned.
- A mobile pet aftercare or transport service — often available after hours, then delivers to a crematory.
- Your veterinary clinic — convenient, but the default arrangement is frequently communal cremation.
- Municipal animal services — usually the lowest cost or free, but ashes are not returned and you may be asked to transport your pet.

- When can someone actually arrive?
- Which facility will perform the cremation?
If it's the middle of the night
Keep your pet cool and wait for morning if no after-hours provider is available. Nothing is lost by waiting a few hours in a cool room, and options and pricing are usually better in normal hours.
